We rented Knocknagrough house on the lead up to my wedding. Having never rented a holiday home, I did not know what to expect but was very pleasantly surprised. The house is lovely both inside and out. Inside the house is very spacious, there were 8 adullts staying there but it never felt crowded. It really felt like a home from home with so many comforts on hand. The house is also in an excellent location for touring around the burren, it was so nice to come back somewhere homely and relax after a long days sightseeing . Rita the owner could not do enough for us. I would highly recommend staying here.

What a wonderful way to have a first time introduction to Ireland. Knockgrarough House is so much more than a cottage. It has all the amenities one could want as a base for exploring Ireland's west coast and the Burren. It has comfortable lounge and dining room and plenty of room for 8 and is wonderfully equipped for taking meals in and doing a bit of laundry. It is within walking distance to pubs, restaurants and shops. Ballyvaughan and the people are charming and friendly. A wonderful experience!

What a wonderful vacation bargin. The house is immaculate, the location is superb, and the village is absolutely charming. I have traveled widely and rarely experience such a treasure in vacation rental homes. You will fall in love and want to return again and again.

Just back from a most relaxing holiday at Knocknagrough House and the beautiful Burren in County Clare. The house is a real "home from home" and will meet anybody's needs from the spacious living accommodation and garden to the ample car parking. Located in the village of Ballyvaughan with it's great pubs and restaurants one couldn't ask for more when it comes to looking for an ideal holiday home and location. Give it try, you won't be disappointed.

Knocknagrough house was a fantastic place to base ourselves while exploring the Burren & North Clare. It was far from the basic amenities Irish Country Cottage I remembered from years ago. If you like to cook, you'll find an excellently kitchen with practically everything you need. We loved the fenced in garden, the lazyboy armchair, excellent shower (wife noted the hair dryers actually worked really well), short walk to the restaurants & pubs in town (try the Whiskey Pub). Loved the Burren & Ballyvaughan. This has to be the best place to stay there! Will definitely be back.

My family and friends stayed at Knocknagrough house with our children and had absolutely wonderful holiday!
House was perfect for us with four bedrooms (2 en-suite), spacious living room, kitchen & large garden for the kids to play. House is homely and clean, and above all located right in the village's centre - only couple of minutes walk from pubs, restaurant, shop and seafront.
We had wonderful and relaxing holiday - and we can recommend the house sincerely! If you are planning on visiting beautiful village of Ballyvaughan this is a perfect house for you!

I want to thank you so very much for making our vacation wonderful in County Clare. Knocknagrough House is such a wonderful place, we would think of staying nowhere else next time when visiting the west of Ireland. On the way home, we were already talking about how we should return next year. The house was perfectly clean and the fireplace was magnificent with ample amount of room for everyone. With the sun shining, we could make use of some of lovely beaches round Ballyvaughan and views of the rock on the Burren were brilliant. With the new motorway to Galway, the trip from Dublin was only just over two hours.

We have had two visits to Knocknagrough House and have had a wonderful holiday each time. The house is brilliant for families as it is very well kept, warm and spacious with four large bedrooms and two with ensuite. The house is in a fantastic location as it is only a short stroll into the town. We will definittely want to book again when we visit Ireland.

We've now visited Knocknagrough on five occasions. Each time we visit the house is warm and welcoming. The house is extremely spacious and very well appointed; also being within a few hundred yards of the village is a great plus point. Knocknagrough easily accommodates the six adults and two children we take along, it's more like a family home than a holiday house. Each year on our return we book Knocknagrough again for the following year - what more can I say!

All members of my party thoroughly enjoyed the stay in the beautiful surroundings (both inside the house and outside in the countryside!). One of the guests staying with me described your place as a "proper homely home away from home" which we have found over the past few years of renting houses in Ireland to be sometimes amiss. The decor, furniture and all the little extras you provide without doubt make it what it is - a fabulous getaway in an idyllic setting. Certainly with your place the minute we turned the key in the front door we relaxed and could enjoy ourselves. The presence of the open fire in the living room was the icing on the cake for us, nothing nicer than coming in from a long walk on the Burren and being able to sit with a glass of wine in front of a roaring open fireplace.

Ballyvaughan is a little bit of heaven! The town is perfectly situated in Clare, near to Galway and Shannon Airport. The house is modern and quaint. Clean and well kept...a short walk to the village . My heart remains in Ballyvaughan and Knocknagrough. I recommend without reservation.
